First look at the food coming to Monstropolis 👁️🍜

First look at the food coming to Monstropolis 👁️🍜

Disney just shared what monsters eat, and it is headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2027.

🍜 Harryhausen's: ramen bowls with rich tonkotsu broth, fishcake sliced to look like eyeballs, and green eggs. Chef Brian Piasecki says the menu is "more than just sushi."
🍕 Archie's Scare Pig Pizza: built to feel like your favorite college pizza joint, straight out of Monsters University.
🥤 Blort is real: the soda from the films is now a frozen purple drink topped with Scream Apple Foam.

The goal, in the chef's words: "grossly fun."

And the rule from Beverage Director Evan Rosenthal: "you can never have enough eyeballs in Monstropolis!"

No full menus, prices or opening date yet beyond 2027.

Inside D23's 55th anniversary night at Walt Disney

Inside D23's 55th anniversary night at Walt Disney World 🏰✨

D23 Spotlight Series: 55 Magical Years of Storytelling took over Disney's Contemporary Resort on October 4. The night had three parts, and the last one brought the news.

👋 13 Walt Disney World Ambassadors, past and present, shared one stage. The headliner was Debby Dane Browne, the very first Ambassador, who was there when the resort opened in 1971. Hard to top that story.

📖 Disney Legend Joe Rohde talked through his new book, Floating Mountains.

🎠 The Imagineers behind Carousel of Progress closed the night:
- Debi Derryberry, the voice of Patricia since 1994, returns as Grandmother
- A talking toucan Audio-Animatronic will join Walt Disney in the new opening scene
- Every piece of the old show has been saved
- "The pumpkin will return" 🎃

Carousel of Progress reopens in late spring 2027.

Full recap and our first photos of the toucan at the link in our bio.

A new Bluey balloon is coming to Thanksgiving morn

Disney just updated the concept art for Welcome to

Disney just updated the concept art for Welcome to Monstropolis, and the Glob Theater lobby looks different. 👀

The chandeliers and posters have changed from the version Disney put on display in late September. The eyeballs and teeth are out. In their place are globe lights on curling arms above a green scaled glass bowl, and a new poster for a keyboard-playing monster in a fedora and dark glasses.

Swipe for the show art, the marquee, and our own construction photos from Disney's Hollywood Studios. Look for the row of teeth under the roofline and the horn-shaped window frames. 🦷

Welcome to Monstropolis opens at the Glob Theater in 2027.

Which lobby do you like better? Tell us below. 👇
