Universal Orlando Resort is going all in on America’s 250th birthday this year, spreading Fourth of July entertainment across Universal Epic Universe, Universal Studios Florida, Universal CityWalk and select resort hotels on July 4, 2026.
At Epic Universe, the celebration starts at 5:00 p.m. with patriotic stilt walkers roaming the park, followed by a DJ and live performers at the Hemisphere Stage in Celestial Park. The night builds to a special Fourth of July fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. over the Cosmos Fountain in front of Universal Helios Grand Hotel, with the park’s regular nightly fountain show following at 10:00 p.m. That gives guests a rare back to back finale, the holiday fireworks and then the standard nighttime show just an hour later.
Universal Studios Florida kicks things off a bit earlier, with entertainment at the Music Plaza Stage running from 5:15 p.m. through park close. Expect a live DJ, more patriotic stilt walkers and performers, and character meet and greets later in the evening. The park’s two signature nighttime shows are still very much part of the plan too. The Universal Mega Movie Parade rolls at 6:00 p.m. and CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular takes the lagoon at 9:00 p.m. Universal Studios Florida then closes out the night with a shorter pyrotechnic display over the lagoon at 10:00 p.m., separate from the CineSational show.
CityWalk keeps things a little more low key but still festive, with live music from the group American Sirens starting at 5:00 p.m. and a DJ taking over at 8:00 p.m., alongside patriotic stilt walkers and performers throughout the evening.
Universal’s resort hotels are getting in on it as well. Guests staying on property can expect summertime food and drink specials, poolside activities and movies at select hotels, plus a family friendly Fourth of July rooftop gathering on the terrace of Bar 17 Bistro at Universal Aventura Hotel.
One thing worth knowing before you plan your day: all of this Fourth of July entertainment is included with regular admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Epic Universe. There’s no separate ticket or hard ticket event tied to any of it, so if you’re already holding a park ticket or annual pass for that day, you’re covered.
Florida residents have an extra incentive to make it a two-park day. Universal’s limited-time “Buy a Day and Get a 2nd Day Free” offer gives Florida residents two days of access to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure for the price of a single one-day ticket, a solid way to stretch a July 4th visit into a full weekend without paying full price for the second day.
Between two fireworks displays, three stages of live entertainment and a rooftop hotel gathering, Universal Orlando is treating this Fourth of July as a destination-wide event rather than a single park moment. The Epic Universe fireworks over Cosmos Fountain followed by the nightly fountain show an hour later stands out as the single best reason to plan your evening around that park specifically.
