The Joy of Play -“Disney JR. Let’s Play”: Get Laughing, Moving, and Playing. Play isn’t just fun, it’s fundamental for young children’s development and well-being. Disney Jr. is launching “Let’s Play!”, a massive global campaign aimed at getting preschoolers to embrace play through their beloved characters and stories. Think content, products, music, live events — the whole nine yards.
Characters from Spidey and His Amazing Friends, Bluey, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Superkitties, and more will bring the fun of playing with Disney JR. Let’s Play to kids in the Park Parties, along with fun videos, and maybe even in your neighborhood. We have seen the Disney JR. Let’s Play at Walt Disney World, with fun activities at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Animation Courtyard. Where kids can hang out with Clarabell Cow, color and draw, and of course, dance at “Get Animated“
It’s all part of Disney’s wider commitment to bringing “meaningful activities and experiences” to young kids and their families worldwide.
Why it Matters:
- Developmental Focus: The campaign is backed by the Child Mind Institute’s expertise on the importance of play in preschool development.
- Characters as Catalysts: Expect to see favorites like “Bluey,” “Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends,” “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” and “SuperKitties” (all on Disney+) at the forefront, inspiring movement and creativity.
- Beyond the Screen: Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis says the goal is to take that playful spirit “beyond the screen and into everyday life.”

The Details:
- “Good Morning America” Kick-off: The campaign was announced on “GMA” today, with more segments planned throughout the summer.
- ESPN Collaboration: In a first, ESPN’s “Take Back Sports” initiative is teaming up with Disney Jr. and nonprofit Every Kid Sports. - Community Activations: Look for more localized events throughout the year.
- Roller Skating Fun: Disney Music Group is rolling out Disney Jr.-themed roller skating experiences at over 400 rinks nationwide.
- Park Parties: “Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party” events are coming to Disney California Adventure Park and Downtown Disney District this summer.
- Live Tour: The “Disney Jr. Live On Tour: Let’s Play!” concert series is already on its international run.
