More Disney Characters Arrive at the Magic Kingdom for Cool Kids Summer 2025. Romeo McGrowl made his auspicious debut in Frontierland, and while we were there covering it, we found plenty of other characters out and about all around Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Some Disney characters were out for the first time, like Raya, while others are returning favorites we have not seen in a few years, like Hook & Smee. If it ever stops raining today, we will head over and get new images.
Some characters are missing from the “Official” list, and we will add the Disney characters we know are around to help families spot their favorite while enjoying the Parks this summer! Characters in BOLD are the ones missing from the list. The official list comes from the new Cool Kids Summer guide maps that Disney Parks released early, then pulled back, at all four Parks.
The surprising ones were Raya meeting guests in Adventureland, which marks the first time she has been out during the day to meet guests at the Magic Kingdom. The return of Captain Hook with Mr. Smee in Fantasy Land was great to see. Having Mary Poppins with Bert and the Penguin on the side street near Crystal Arts is magical and reminds us of when Town Square used to have characters all over the place during our early morning entrances.
