Animation Courtyard Disney Jr. Meet & Greets Temporarily Closed – Characters Moved. Fans of Disney Junior characters visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios will notice changes in Animation Courtyard. The popular meet-and-greet locations for characters like Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, and Fancy Nancy are currently temporarily closed, with rolling planters and tarps now in place, blocking guest access to the usual spots.
This temporary closure is part of the park’s preparations for the highly anticipated Cool Kid Summer, a resort-wide event kicking off at Walt Disney World on May 27, 2025.

Where to Find Your Favorite Disney Junior Friends:
While their usual home in Animation Courtyard is being refreshed, your favorite Disney Junior pals haven’t left the park! Guests can now find Vampirina, Fancy Nancy, and Doc McStuffins in a new location within the Echo Lake area. These character appearances will begin daily at 12:30 p.m, Fancy Nancy is meeting in front of Gertie, Vampirina is on the Echo Lake side across from 50s Prime Time Cafe, and Doc McStuffins is across from Gertie, closer to 50s. Meanwhile, Pluto is meeting by The Muppets Courtyard starting at 9:30 AM, and every half-hour after.
“Disney Junior Play and Dance!” Gets an Animated Upgrade:
The changes extend beyond the meet-and-greets. The nearby Disney Junior Play and Dance! The show will also be temporarily unavailable starting May 25. However, the wait won’t be long!
On May 27, the space will reopen with a brand-new, limited-time offering called “Get Animated.” This exciting summer experience is designed specifically for young kids and will feature:
- Games and hands-on crafts to spark creativity and engagement.
- Surprise character appearances add an element of fun and anticipation.
- Live DJ entertainment to get the little ones moving and grooving.
