National ASL American Sign Language Day 2025 at Walt Disney World

National ASL (American Sign Language) Day 2025 at Walt Disney World. Walt Disney World is committed to providing magical experiences for all guests, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing, by offering a range of American Sign Language (ASL) services. Sign language interpretation is available for select live shows in each of the four theme parks on a rotating schedule.

Today, April 15th, is officially National ASL Day, AKA American Sign Language Day. All four Walt Disney World theme parks, along with Hoop-Dee-Doo Review and Keys to the Kingdom Tour, support those guests who may have a hearing disability and would like the support of an ASL interpreter. Below, you will find links to those services, including times and shows for each Park, along with a bi-weekly schedule. The schedule is supposed to be updated every 2 weeks.

We have had the pleasure of being in shows when there were ASL Cast Members on hand, and although we might only know some basics, we were able to follow along with most of the story. Most recently, Olaf had returned to Frozen Sing-Along at Hollywood Studios, and we found ourselves enthralled by their performance and skills. We have linked a video below.

National ASL Day is celebrated annually on April 15th. It’s a day to recognize and celebrate the unique language and culture of the Deaf community, specifically American Sign Language (ASL). The day also acknowledges the importance of ASL in education and accessibility, and it encourages learning and sharing ASL with others.

Sign Language Interpretation: Walt Disney World Resort provides Sign Language interpretation for our Guests at specific live theme park shows on a rotating basis.

The schedule of interpreted performances is updated weekly. For a list of Sign Language interpreted performances, please download the current schedule or email us. You can also obtain a copy of this schedule at a Walt Disney World Guest Relations location upon arrival.

You will be contacted prior to your visit to verify and finalize arrangements and will receive a show schedule that lists the names, dates and times of the interpreted performances. Please note that sign language interpreters will not escort parties around the parks for a guided tour.

Additionally, some Cast Members have basic ASL skills and wear a special indicator on their name tag. For guests with hearing disabilities, Walt Disney World also offers assistive listening devices, handheld captioning, and video captioning at various attractions and entertainment locations.
