Walt Disney World Releases Schedule for New Year’s Eve 2025. The countdown is on to the new year of 2025. Guests from around the world will be spending the day and night here at Walt Disney World, with special character meet-and-greets, DJs, and music, capping the night off with fireworks at three of the Theme Parks. Animal Kingdom will be open during the day. For those who don’t have a reservation at the parks, there are still ways to enjoy ringing in the New Year.
January and 2025 are going to be a very transformative year for Walt Disney World, there is plenty to look forward to in the next few years, but 2025 is shaping up to be just the beginning. From Test Track reopening, The Little Mermaid musical reopening, 3 new lounges, Villains Unfairly Ever After coming to Hollywood Studios, and so much more. In January alone, there are going to be 9 Rides and or Attractions closing either forever (Dinoland USA – Triceratops Spin, Fossil Games, and Chester & Hesters) or going down or are already down for refurbishment.
Today, Walt Disney World Resorts My Disney Experience App updated with the Magic Kingdom, Epcot schedule. Both of them have been celebrating New Year’s Eve with huge parties for years now. This year Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting in on the action, adding a Pixar Dance Party, Fireworks, and DJs around the Park.
Events to ring in the New Year:
EPCOT: Celebrate the night away on Dec. 31 with DJ dance parties around World Showcase. Enjoy “Luminous The Symphony of Us” at 6:30 p.m. before “Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration kicks off its countdown at 11:54 p.m. Park Hours 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM
Indulge 2024 with a lasting “bon voyage,” courtesy of the New Year’s countdown fireworks at EPCOT. It’s an unforgettable showcase to experience alongside friends and family, and all part of a one-night New Year’s Eve celebration. The countdown begins at 11:54 PM on December 31, 2024-only at EPCOT.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Enjoy a variety of live entertainment and DJs all night long, including the Pixar Dance Party. Be on the lookout for special character experiences throughout the park and don’t miss the New Year Countdown Fireworks. Park Hours 8:30 AM to 12:00 AM
Ring in 2025 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! On December 31, 2024, join us near Center Stage starting at 6:00 PM for a DJ jam fest. Vibrant beats will play throughout the night as we count down to the New Year. Then, at midnight, the festivities culminate with a dazzling fireworks display you won’t forget!

- PM Pixar Party – featuring a DJ and Pixar pals at Pixar Plaza from 7:00 PM to 11:25 PM
- Holiday Spirit Band performing on Sunset Boulevard at 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM, 9:30 PM, 10:30 PM and 11:30 PM
- Street Party with a Latin Flair – featuring The Rundown in Coaster Courtyard by Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, 9:00 PM, 10:00 PM, and 11:00 PM
Magic Kingdom Park: Get a jump start on your celebration on Dec. 30 with “Fantasy in the Sky” at 6:30 p.m. followed by a second showing at 11:50 p.m. Both fireworks spectaculars will also greet the new year at the same time on Dec. 31. Park Hours 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM
Magic Kingdom will have DJs on Cinderella Stage (last night, Mickey & Minnie made a surprise appearance) Tomorrowland Stage will have a DJ and kids Dance Party with Chip & Dale, and other characters. Frontierland will have DJs playing music.
To enter a Theme Park, both a valid admission and Theme Park reservation where applicable for the same Park and same date are required. Parks and park reservations are limited, subject to capacity and availability, and specific dates or Parks are not guaranteed. Entertainment is subject to change without notice.
Disney Springs:
Springs posts earlier closing times, but various restaurants may be having New Year’s Eve parties. The Edison, while nothing is listed, will be open. Raglan Road will have two separate countdowns, 7:00 PM (New Year’s Eve in Ireland Time) and then again at Midnight. Summer House on the Lake will also be open, check the website for details. Fireworks are visible from certain areas of Disney Springs.
Disney Resorts:
If you cannot find a reservation, or if celebrating New Year’s Eve with 100,000 of your closest friends sounds a bit too much, may we suggest Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Resort including Island Tower at the Poly, and Grand Floridian all make great spots to watch the 6:30 PM Fireworks or the Midnight Fireworks. Be forewarned, at the Poly Beach half of it is closed off and is only accessible to guests staying on property. Guests staying on the property will have to receive a wristband from the front desk during the day.
Disney’s Boardwalk is especially fun during New Year’s Eve with special entertainment along the whole boardwalk.
If we had to choose where to celebrate New Year’s Eve and could leave our house, which is 6 miles from the Parks, which we cannot because of scared dogs. We would spend the night at Epcot dancing around the World Showcase!
Over in EPCOT, you can party the night away with dance parties found throughout World Showcase; last year revelers packed into China, Italy, and Japan to enjoy themselves to the beat of loud music with pyrotechnic displays, lasers, smoke,e and even bubbles! (In the case of the United Kingdom pavilion, a silent disco dance party saw guests queuing up for their chance to dance along with a special set of headphones.) This is definitely where it seems that most of Walt Disney World Resort congregates to ring in the New Year with guests and Cast Members alike, so be prepared for significantly heavier crowds and longer waits for offerings around EPCOT
