Tonight, during The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular, Disney Live Entertainment Show Director Mark Renfrow announced the new show name for the already announced Broadway-like show that will replace Lightning McQueen Racing Academy in Disney’s Hollywood Studios this coming summer of 2025.
He goes on to say “A Brand new show where some of Disney’s most infamous villains will take the stage. The Magic Mirror serves as our reflective guide into this villainous realm, it is not long before some of our most fiendish foes like Cruella Deville, Captain Hook, and Melficent break through the glass in wickedly awesome live production numbers. In an image shared from Disney earlier this year, we could see Jafar, Queen of Hearts, Capt Hook, Maleficent, Cruella DeVille, Hades, Scar from Disney’s Lion King, Magic Mirror, and most importantly Yzma from Emperor’s New Grove.
Deep in the shadows of Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, something delightfully wicked is about to take the stage. It’s an all-new live production starring your favorite Disney Villains – debuting in the summer of 2025!
The creative minds at Disney Live Entertainment will transform Sunset Showcase into the mysterious, reflective realm of the Magic Mirror. The show will feature appearances by dozens of the most infamous evildoers, with fiendish foes Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent each breaking through the glass to take the stage in live production numbers.
Never one to shy away from barging in unexpectedly, the Disney Villains’ appearance in this new show comes in addition to the future Villains-themed land announced for Magic Kingdom during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
