“Mistletoe Murders” is heading to Netflix. The show’s official Instagram account confirmed Friday that Seasons 1 and 2 will start streaming on Netflix on November 1, four days before Season 3 premieres Thursday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel.
That gives new viewers 12 episodes to get through before the November 5 premiere. Each season has six episodes built around three two-part mysteries, and episodes run about 42 minutes. Watch three a night from Sunday, November 1 through Wednesday, November 4 and you will be caught up the night before Season 3 starts.
Season 3 is not part of the Netflix move. The show’s announcement spells out that new episodes air first on Hallmark Channel and stream the next day on Hallmark+, with W Network and STACKTV carrying the season in Canada starting November 5. If you already subscribe to Hallmark+, you do not need to wait. Both seasons are streaming there now.
Hallmark has used this playbook before. “The Way Home” arrived on Netflix in October 2025 as part of a multi-year licensing deal between the two companies, and it climbed as high as No. 6 on the Netflix top 10 in the United States, according to What’s on Netflix. Hallmark’s head of distribution, Jesse Wallace, told The Hollywood Reporter at the time that the company was pleased with its channel viewership and Hallmark+ subscriber growth after its first batch of Christmas movies landed on Netflix in 2024.
Season 3 picks up where Season 2 ended, with Emily’s former partner Aaron, played by Aaron Ashmore, at her front door. Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney return as Emily Lane and Detective Sam Wilner for six new episodes, a season the two announced themselves in February. Catherine Bell guest stars in the first two episodes, and Holly Robinson Peete also appears this season. One note for returning fans: Season 2 aired on Friday nights last year, so Thursday is a new night for the show on Hallmark Channel.
Hallmark picked the right week for this. “Mistletoe Murders” tells one continuing story about Emily’s past across both seasons, and that makes it hard to start cold with Season 3. Putting all 12 episodes in front of Netflix subscribers a few days before the premiere gives people who have never had Hallmark+ an easy way in. Keep one thing in mind. A strong Netflix run did not keep “The Way Home” going past four seasons, so the number that matters is how many new viewers follow the show to Hallmark Channel or Hallmark+ once they run out of episodes.
