Disney Cruise Line has revealed a new lineup of venues for the Disney Believe, including a Frozen restaurant called Oaken’s Table, a Little Mermaid piano lounge called Sea Notes, and a new Tangled show in the Walt Disney Theatre. The news came out during today’s Disney Believe reveal livestream.
Two stage shows have been announced. Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the songs for Disney Encanto, announced that a stage adaptation of the film will be featured on the Disney Believe. Encanto was one of the five stories Disney named when it introduced the ship in March. A new Tangled show will play in the Walt Disney Theatre. Tangled: The Musical has played on the Disney Magic since 2015.
The reveal came minutes after Disney set the ship’s maiden voyage for December 18, 2027 from Port Everglades.
Here is every venue announced so far:
- Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, a restaurant inspired by Frozen
- Sea Notes, a piano lounge inspired by The Little Mermaid
- Wishing Well Lounge, inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
- Cafe Kakamora, named for the Kakamora from Moana
- Big Hero Sips, inspired by Big Hero 6
- Joyful Sweets, a sweet shop inspired by Inside Out 2
- Skygazers, a space for grown-ups
- A multi-level entertainment space themed to Gazelle from Zootopia, where guests can meet Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps
- Disney’s Oceaneer Club, the kids club, inspired by Monsters, Inc.
The ship’s first announced stage show is Tangled, which will play in the Walt Disney Theatre. Tangled: The Musical has played on the Disney Magic since 2015.
Disney also revealed the ship’s Tower Suite, and it is inspired by Magic Kingdom. On Wish-class ships, the tower suite sits high in the funnel. The one on the Disney Treasure takes its cues from EPCOT, so the Disney Believe is the second ship in the class to theme its top suite to a Walt Disney World park.
Disney hinted at most of this a day early. A scavenger hunt for media on the Disney Wish used a wishing well clue, an Ariel puzzle, an Oaken clue, Boo’s door and an Anxiety cupcake. Each one now matches a venue.
Some of this will sound familiar if you have sailed the Disney Wish, which has its own Frozen restaurant and a sweet shop called Joyful Sweets. The Disney Believe gets new versions with different stories. They join the Moana Grand Hall that Disney showed at D23, which we covered when the first section of the ship floated out last month.
We are covering the livestream as it happens and will add details on each venue as Disney shares them.
