Universal Orlando Resort is bringing two fan experiences to Universal CityWalk this fall. Oztacular Spectacular, a one-day Wicked fan event, takes over CityWalk on Saturday, October 24 from noon to 7 p.m., and a bar overlay themed to NBC’s The Traitors: New Blood is open now inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape.
Oztacular Spectacular celebrates the Wicked films with stained-glass photo spots, appearances and meet and greets with Glinda and Elphaba, and displays of costumes and props from the movies. A DJ will spin Wicked songs on a yellow brick dance floor, and trivia sessions give fans a chance to win exclusive giveaways. The Universal Legacy Store, which returned to CityWalk this spring, will carry the latest Wicked merchandise. Universal has not mentioned a cost for the event, and CityWalk itself does not require park admission.
Universal has been a home for Wicked fans since the first film. Universal Studios Florida opened Wicked: The Experience in the fall of 2024 and brought it back in 2025 when Elphaba and Glinda returned for meet and greets. This time the celebration moves out of the park and onto CityWalk for one afternoon.
Over at Universal’s Great Movie Escape, the escape room venue that opened at CityWalk in 2022 with Jurassic World and Back to the Future rooms, two bars now carry The Traitors: New Blood theming. The Library is on the first floor and The Roundtable is on the second, and both have set pieces, props and costumes worn by host Alan Cumming on display, along with specialty drinks inspired by the show. The bars are open Wednesday through Sunday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. You do not need an escape room ticket to visit, but the escape rooms still require separate admission.
The Traitors: New Blood moved the Emmy-winning series from Peacock to NBC this fall, with a cast of everyday people instead of reality stars, filmed in the Scottish Highlands. New episodes air Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and stream the next day on Peacock, with the next episode arriving Thursday, October 8.
Our Take: These are two easy reasons to add a CityWalk stop to your fall plans. If you have Wicked fans in the family, October 24 is a Saturday, so it works for a day trip, and meeting Glinda and Elphaba without a park ticket is a nice perk. Just know that date falls during Halloween Horror Nights season, so CityWalk will get busier as the evening goes on. The Traitors bar is the sleeper pick for adults. It is open five nights a week, costs nothing to walk in, and seeing Alan Cumming’s costumes up close is a fun stop before dinner.
