Fall into Love is rolling on with a brand new Hallmark Mystery movie. Garage Sale Mysteries: Murder Takes the Stage premieres tonight on Hallmark Channel and will be available to stream tomorrow on Hallmark+.
Jennifer Shannon is back and solving another murder. Lori Loughlin returns to Hallmark Channel for the 17th Garage Sale Mystery movie. Garage Sale Mysteries: Murder Takes the Stage is the story of one of the members of Jennifer Shannon’s true-crime book club who is murdered during the group’s reenactment of the Lizzie Borden case.
There is one mystery that Jennifer Shannon cannot solve, and that is the infamous Lizzie Borden case. But when a murder happens while reenacting the Borden murders, who else but Jennifer Shannon can solve it? Fans have been clamoring for more Garage Sale Mysteries for years, and Hallmark and Lori Loughlin answered the call.
2026 marks Lori Loughlin’s return to the network after several years away. Lori not only returns for Garage Sale Mysteries, but she will also star in the Countdown to Christmas movie, What If Christmas with Tom Cavanagh. As a longtime fan of Lori Loughlin, I’m not unhappy to have her back where she belongs on Hallmark Channel.
Murder Takes the Stage brings your favorite characters back together. The whole Shannon family, Dani, and Detective Frank Lynwood are all back to support Jennifer as she solves the murder of her book club friend and reenactor. Lori Loughlin, Sarah Strange, Steve Bacic, Kevin O’Grady, Connor Stanhope, and Eva Bourne all reprise their roles.
After years away, you’d think some of the charm would disappear. You’d be wrong. The charm is evident from the first scene to the last. The little nods to being away are charming. The comments when, of course, Jennifer finds a body. Still endearing.
Steve Bacic shines as the supportive and protective husband, Jason Shannon. Kevin O’Grady and his frustration that Jennifer is always the one finding bodies. Sarah Strange continues to make the quirky and artsy Dani her own. This cast is so finely in tune with each other that it felt like no time had passed between the last movie and this one.
This case takes a murder inside a real-life murder mystery. The movie presents the two sides of the Lizzie Borden case. Is Lizzie guilty, or is Lizzie an innocent person? Jennifer claims it’s unsolvable. The reenactment takes place in a creaky Victorian B&B and features fancy period costumes. Are the Lizzie artifacts real or bogus? Who is murdered during this reenactment and why? This movie is fun if you like cozy murder mysteries and the Hallmark approach.
