Walt Disney World Celebrates Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month With Luis Fonsi

Walt Disney World Resort is celebrating Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month under the theme “Together We Are Magia” from September 15 through October 15, 2026, with Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi headlining this year’s promotional push.

Fonsi visited the resort ahead of the month’s kickoff, stopping by ¡Celebración Encanto! at EPCOT to meet Mirabel and Bruno and take in music and dancing from the Storytellers and Primos. He also rode Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which he named as his favorite attraction, and met Mickey Mouse. “As a Puerto Rican, I’m incredibly proud of my roots and of the opportunity to celebrate our culture with families from around the world,” Fonsi said of the visit.

Eat to the Beat Brings a Latin Lineup to EPCOT

EPCOT’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series is dedicating five performance windows to Latin American artists this year:

  • Latin Ambition: September 15–17
  • Grupo Mania: September 20–21
  • Metro Latino Band: September 22–24
  • Rey Ruiz: October 5–6
  • Viva Latina: October 9–11

Character Moments and Movies Under the Stars

Magic Kingdom’s Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade is adding Mirabel and Miguel to its regular lineup alongside Princess Elena of Avalor, José Carioca, and Panchito for the month. Select resort Movies Under the Stars screenings are also folding in Hispanic and Latin American-inspired storytelling, music, dance, and film.

New Coco Merchandise

A new Disney and Pixar Coco collection rounds out the celebration, including a Miguel mug, a floral tee, and an alebrije headband, all built around the film’s themes of family and tradition.

This year’s push is noticeably fuller than what we tracked last year, when Disney scaled back its public campaign for the month compared to prior years. We also covered the new Encanto and Coco PhotoPass opportunities that debuted for the celebration last September, and those photo ops are expected to return again this year alongside everything else on the calendar.

Whatever is driving the size of the campaign from year to year, this one has enough behind it this time around a recognizable headliner, a five-week concert rotation, new character additions, and a merch line to be worth building a day around if you’re at Walt Disney World this fall.

Offerings and dates are subject to change, so check My Disney Experience closer to your visit.
