Hallmark Channel’s newest Fall Into Love movie, Falling Into Place, is a tried-and-true Hallmark cozy romance. Falling Into Place stars Alvina August and Nathan Witte as childhood friends who reunite to complete a fall bucket list that leads to love. Look for this to premiere tonight on Hallmark Channel and be available to stream tomorrow on Hallmark+. This is the fall movie that will not disappoint. Sweet small town, fall bucket list, leaves, a dance, a hay ride. Fall Into Love on Hallmark Channel is satisfying so far.
Kaia (August) returns home for her town’s fall festival as well as her high school reunion and spends the week with her childhood best friend, James (Witte), to complete their unfinished fall bucket list.
Falling Into Place delivers the exact thing we all go to Hallmark Channel for: family, friends, and romance. This movie follows the comforting, formulaic story wrapped up in Fall vibes that we all love. The leads were exactly what we wanted. Kaia starts off as the career driven, can’t put her phone down woman who finds herself pulled more and more into being home and relaxing with friends and family.
While this movie doesn’t take risks and move away from the standard tropes, it works for this movie. It’s comforting. It’s cozy. It’s what we want to watch in a Fall movie. While I’m not sure that this will bring new fans, it sure does warm the already loyal Hallmark fans. Hallmark has a way of always making me want to move to the picturesque small town with its Fall and Christmas activities.
Throw in BJ Harrison, and I’m sold. If I’m not mistaken, this is the third movie we have seen BJ Harrison in this year. She plays Kaia’s Gigi, and I’m never dissatisfied when she’s on my screen. This is no different. Then you have the one bucket-list item that Kaia and James struggle to get: making Mr. Winters smile. The grumpy-looking older gentleman was the hardest thing to check off the list. The hay ride scene makes this movie.
Falling Into Place is directed by Angie Nolan. Angie is the fourth Make Her Mark director. Ashley Williams and Hallmark Media’s Make Her Mark Women’s Directing Program is an on-the-job mentorship initiative designed to advance Hallmark’s commitment to inclusive storytelling by supporting and increasing representation of women behind the camera. Ashley and Angie had a great interview on Instagram Live yesterday and talked about the process of working with Make Her Mark and Angie’s path to directing this movie. She shadowed Michael Robison on Adventures in Love and Birding, then took the helm on this movie. Angie joins Crystal Lowe, Kay Metchie, and Eva Tavares as Make Her Mark directors.
