Disney+ is giving Disney parks fans two reasons to tune in this summer, with the return of Behind the Attraction and the streaming debut of the beloved classic series Imagineer That! starring Tom Morrow 2.0.
Update June 24, 2026: Both episodes of Behind the Attraction Season 3 are now streaming on Disney+.
Founder and CEO of The Nacelle Company, Brian Volk-Weiss, who executive-produced and directed the season, said it has been the honor and joy of his career to work with Disney Cruise Line to tell their story for this season, calling it beyond anything he expected after going to Disney parks since age 3 and sailing aboard ships from the Disney Magic to the Disney Destiny. Executive producer and Seven Bucks Productions co-CEO Dany Garcia added that some of her family’s most meaningful memories were created aboard Disney cruises, and that this season highlights the innovation and craftsmanship behind those moments.
The season is told through the perspectives of Imagineers, crew, and cast members, including insight from former Imagineer and Disney Legend Wing Chao, who led the design of the original Disney Magic and Disney Wonder ships.
Imagineer That! Is Now Streaming
Alongside the Season 3 announcement, Disney+ has added Imagineer That! to its library. The series originally aired on Disney Channel from 1999 to 2001 and follows Tom Morrow 2.0 as he tracks down Imagineers to answer questions about how Disney theme park experiences come to life.
The show now sits on Disney+ alongside The Imagineering Story and We Call It Imagineering, giving Disney Experiences fans a growing collection of behind-the-scenes content in one place. New episodes of Imagineer That! will continue debuting on YouTube first, with the next installment arriving next week.
Our Take
This is a strong summer for fans who want to go deeper than the parks themselves. Behind the Attraction has always been at its best when it covers the projects that feel genuinely personal to Disney’s creative identity, and Disney Cruise Line’s origin story is exactly that kind of material. The Disney Destiny angle is a smart hook too, since it is one of the most anticipated ships in the fleet’s history. Imagineer That! landing on Disney+ is a real win for longtime fans who remember it from childhood, and pairing it with The Imagineering Story and We Call It Imagineering turns the platform into a legitimate destination for parks content beyond just rides and attraction previews.
