AMC Theatres is releasing two Space Jam 30th Anniversary collectibles on Wednesday, May 20, for one day only: the Space Jam 30th Anniversary Game Time Popcorn Bucket, which includes a large popcorn, and the Space Jam 30th Anniversary Basketball Cup, which includes a large fountain drink. Both items are available while supplies last at AMC locations.
AMC has been on quite a run with movie theater collectibles lately. We just covered the Shrek Outhouse Popcorn Collectible dropping May 1 and the Top Gun 40th Anniversary helmet buckets confirmed for May 13, and now Space Jam is joining the lineup. The chain is clearly leaning into anniversary and re-release moments in a big way this spring.
The Game Time Popcorn Collectible is styled as a miniature arcade basketball machine, complete with a red hoop and backboard and Space Jam 30th Anniversary branding across the base. The Collectible Basketball Cup is a full-size basketball-shaped cup with a straw and the Space Jam 30th Anniversary logo printed on the side. Both are designed to celebrate the film’s return to theaters for a special one-day screening on May 20. We do not know pricing as of this writing, but expected to be around $34.99 for the popcorn bucket, and $19.99 for the Basketball Tumbler.
Honestly, AMC is doing amazing with these collectible drops right now. The Shrek outhouse was creative, the Top Gun helmets are genuinely impressive, and this Space Jam arcade machine popcorn bucket might be the most playful of the bunch. If you grew up watching Space Jam, this one is going to hit.
