Six Ravens, the savory spinoff from the team behind Gideon’s Bakehouse, celebrates its grand opening at Disney Springs this Saturday, October 17, starting at 10 a.m. Every guest who makes a purchase gets a free collectible pin while supplies last, and Six Ravens is also promising a “regal crown” for guests “of noble spirit.” Six Ravens has been in soft opening since August 3 at The Landing, in the small former Art of Shaving storefront just steps from Gideon’s. We first told you about the concept in May, when it was announced as part of Disney Springs’ summer lineup, and Saturday makes it official. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The star of the menu is the Coffyn, the medieval name for a hand pie. Each one is a house-made yeast roll stuffed with sandwich fillings and sealed all the way around, and several were created with well-known Central Florida restaurants. The cheeseburger Coffyn pairs with a sauce from The Pink Salamander, the pesto chicken comes from a collaboration with Pizza Bruno, the mac and cheese with pulled pork is a team-up with Smoke & Donuts and the chicken curry comes from Red Panda Noodle. Every Coffyn is $10.96.

The name is a nod to the Tower of London, where ravens are still kept today. Legend says that if the ravens ever leave, the kingdom will fall, which explains the “Seek the Six” line Six Ravens has been using ahead of Saturday.
Plan for a crowd if you want the pin. Six Ravens used a virtual queue during its first weeks of soft opening, where a team member at the door takes your phone number and texts you when it is your turn, and it is worth expecting that system to come back for the grand opening. Six Ravens has not explained what earns the crown yet, but says more details are coming before Saturday. It is a small space built for grab and go, so plan to take your Coffyn for a walk around The Landing.
Our take is that Six Ravens fills a real gap at Disney Springs. A filling, made-to-order meal for under $11 is hard to find there, and pairing it with Gideon’s next door makes for an easy lunch and dessert stop. If you are heading over this weekend, the Hallmark Holiday Pop-Up is open at Disney Springs too.
