happy coffee has launched eight Avengers: Doomsday collector cans, each with a different Marvel character, ahead of the film’s December 18, 2026 release. The brand was co-founded by Robert Downey Jr., who plays Doctor Doom in the movie. We track licensed releases like this one on our Disney Consumer Products guide. The eight cans cover four of Happy’s 11-ounce canned coffees, with two characters per flavor. Doctor Doom and Thor are on the cold brew. Captain America and Mister Fantastic are on the tahitian vanilla cold brew. Gambit and The Thing are on the vanilla latte, and Black Panther and Mystique are on the chocolatey chip latte. “Eight cans, eight characters, zero spoilers,” Downey said in the announcement.
We got an early taste of this one. At D23 in August, free Doom cans of Happy cold brew were handed out as guests left the Disney Entertainment Showcase at the Honda Center, the same night Downey took the stage with a new look at the film. The can we were handed read happy DOOM, with the line “Stay caffeinated. Obey.” It is a different design from the Doctor Doom can in the new set, so anyone who kept one has a ninth can that is not part of the retail lineup.
happy says the cans are rolling out at Albertsons stores, Amazon, H-E-B, Kroger, pOpshelf, Raley’s, Schnucks and Sheetz, plus select CVS and Target locations. It did not give an on-sale date, and it says availability and can designs may vary by retailer.
On happy’s own site, each flavor is sold as a 4-pack for $11.99 or a 12-pack for $31.99, and each pack carries that flavor’s two characters. The site does not say how many of each design come in a pack. One 4-pack of each flavor comes to $47.96 before shipping and tax. The cold brew has 140 to 165 milligrams of caffeine per can, according to the site.
Our take: this is a collector’s dream more than a coffee launch. The fun is in seeing whether you can track down all eight, and with designs varying by store, that could take a few trips. As for the coffee, we drank our D23 can the next morning and it tasted decent.
