Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends Season 5 premieres Monday, July 13, on Disney Jr. at 7:00 a.m. EDT/PDT and later that day on Disney Channel and Disney Jr. on Demand, with five episodes available on Disney+ the following day — and this season is bringing in some serious Marvel firepower.
The new season launches a “Rescue-Webs” story arc built around Team Spidey’s new Spidey-themed firetruck and rescue gear, giving the show a fresh action framework while introducing four new superhero guest stars. Rocket, voiced by Trevor Devall, and Groot, voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, return to the franchise and will appear multiple times throughout the season. Mr. Fantastic joins the mix voiced by Mario Lopez, using his stretching powers and Fantastic Four-level ingenuity to help Team Spidey take on the baddies. Silk, voiced by Avelyn Choi, swings in with ricochet webs as another new ally.

Season 5 also introduces Symbie, an adorably chaotic symbiote villain who will give Team Spidey plenty of trouble. Symbie made his first appearance in the “Meet Symbie” short released on Disney Jr.’s YouTube channel on May 1, tied to the new Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends #1 CGD 2026 comic book. Nine additional “Meet Spidey and His Amazing Friends” shorts are now available on Disney Channel and Disney Jr., with a Disney+ premiere coming tomorrow. They will also roll out on the Disney Jr. and Marvel HQ YouTube channels.
The series has earned its place as one of Disney Jr.’s most important properties. In 2025 it crossed 1 billion hours streamed on Disney+ globally and ranked as the number two most-watched streaming series for kids and boys ages 2 to 5, trailing only Bluey. On the toy side, it was the third-best-selling preschool toy license globally in 2025 per Circana. A new Rescue-Webs toy lineup, including a Symbie Factory Playset from Hasbro, is coming to major retailers later this summer.
Fantasy Land News covered the Season 4 guest cast additions including Captain America and Jeff the Land Shark, and the Avengers team-up special on Disney Jr. Both are worth revisiting as context for how the show has built its Marvel universe year over year. All four previous seasons are streaming now on Disney+.
Our Take: Mario Lopez as Mr. Fantastic is an inspired choice — he has the energy for it. Symbie as a villain for a preschool audience is a clever way to introduce the symbiote concept without going full Venom, and the Rescue-Webs arc gives the show a clear seasonal identity beyond just superhero team-ups. Season 5 looks like the strongest lineup yet.
