Scary Movie is back at it. Discussion Films, Paramount Pictures, and the official Scary Movie social media accounts just revealed a second popcorn bucket ahead of the June 5 release — this time a glow-in-the-dark old school cell phone shaped container called the Scary Movie Popcorn Phone, priced at $67.69 plus shipping and handling.

If you missed the first one, we covered it when Scary Movie dropped what may be the most unhinged popcorn bucket in movie theater history a few weeks back. That one went viral. This one is going to do the same thing. Also, that one was not meant for theatrical release; it was a joke!
The new bucket is designed to look like an oversized retro brick cell phone — the kind from the late 90s that nobody uses anymore but everybody remembers. The phone keypad is fully detailed with number buttons, a Rcl, Clr, and Vol row, plus green Snd and red End buttons at the bottom. The Scary Movie logo is printed at the base of the phone. Down the side in bold red lettering: WAZZUP. The bucket glows in the dark. The promotional ads show the Ghost Face-adjacent mascot holding it up to his face like he is actually making a call.
The branding leans fully into the bit. The promotional images are styled to look like a late-night infomercial, complete with a “CALL NOW” header in yellow on red, a starburst reading “GET YOURS NOW,” a phone number — (855) WAZ-ZZUP — a note that you must be 18 years or older to call, and a payment options bar listing Weed Pay and PotPay alongside the expected PayPal. It says “AS SEEN IN SHORTY’S DREAMS” where a normal infomercial would say “As Seen on TV.” Every single detail is a joke and every single detail is committed to completely.
The price is $67.69 plus shipping and handling. No movie theater chain has posted this yet. At the moment it is strictly a social media reveal from the official accounts, the same way the first bucket dropped.

Our Take: They did it again. The bong bucket was the setup. The WAZZUP phone is the punchline. Two fake-or-maybe-not-fake infomercial popcorn buckets in two weeks, both perfectly timed to the June 5 release, both built around the exact kind of absurdist Scary Movie energy that made this franchise what it is. Whether either of these ends up at an actual theater concession stand is still an open question, but that almost does not matter at this point. The marketing is doing exactly what marketing is supposed to do. WAZZUP indeed.
