Charlotte and Nathan share a meaningful conversation that paves the way for future happiness, and Edie assists Lucas in protecting the area’s rebuilding funds.
Last week, LJ lost his late father’s medal and made Elizabeth realize that he has no memories of Jack since Jack passed before LJ was born. Elizabeth sets up a memory scavenger hunt for LJ. She shares memories with him of the Mountie Christmas ball, their wedding, and more. Rosemary shares that she knew him as a young child and made him do plays with her. Lee shares that it was because of Jack that he met Rosemary and married her. Faith shares that Jack was one of the reasons that she came to Hope Valley and eventually became a doctor. Henry shares that because of Jack’s kindness, he became a better man. Bill shares that Jack once put him in jail. At the end of the hunt was Jack’s mother, Charlotte, who came to share her own memories of Jack with her grandson. (I may have shed many tears during the memories being shared.)
Allie, having never met Jack, went to Oliver and asked about old cases that Mountie Jack worked. He told her all about the infamous Tolliver gang case. Allie takes that case and turns it into an exciting story. Charlotte takes that story and turns it into a book with pictures she drew. Elizabeth tells Allie that she is a writer!
