Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are kicking off a month-long celebration inside Super Nintendo World tied to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which opens in theaters on April 1, 2026. The experience launches on MAR10 Day, Tuesday, March 10, and runs daily through Monday, April 13. Here is everything coming to both parks.
Yoshi Is Getting His Own Meet and Greet. The centerpiece of the event is a dedicated Yoshi meet and greet running inside Super Nintendo World at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort. For fans who have wanted a proper moment with the beloved green dinosaur, this is the first time a standalone meet and greet like this has been offered inside the land. It runs for the full duration of the event, but the five-week window goes fast.

Themed Food Worth Tracking Down. Both parks are adding movie-inspired items to their dining menus for the event. The Rosalina Cupcake is a blue velvet cupcake filled with blueberry cheesecake and lemon buttercream, topped with a chocolate crown and star. The Galaxy Popcorn is a multicolored berry-flavored popcorn with edible glitter, available later in the experience window. Both will be sold at select dining locations across the parks. The Luma Shoulder Pals Are the Merch Item to Watch. Universal is releasing interactive shoulder pals styled after the Luma character from the film, available in both blue and yellow. Each one features lights and sound, and the two versions actually communicate with each other when placed nearby. These are being described as a first-of-their-kind item, which makes them a strong candidate to sell out early. Additional limited-edition merchandise inspired by the film will also be available at both parks throughout the event.
CityWalk Gets a Galactic Photo Moment. The fun is not limited to inside the parks. Both Universal CityWalk Orlando and Universal CityWalk Hollywood will feature a themed photo opportunity designed around The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The setup is built to look like a galactic tunnel pulled straight from Mario’s newest onscreen adventure, giving guests a memorable photo backdrop whether or not they are heading into the park that day.
You Can See the Film Right at the Parks. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie opens April 1, 2026, and both Universal Cinema at Universal CityWalk Hollywood and Universal Cinemark at Universal CityWalk Orlando will carry it starting on opening day. It makes for an easy add-on to a park visit, especially with the in-park celebration running at the same time.
