Universal Orlando Volcano Bay Goes Cashless. Universal Orlando Resort is taking the “flow” in its water park literally. Starting February 25, 2026, Universal Volcano Bay will officially transition to a cashless experience, aiming to provide a more seamless and “soggy-wallet-free” visit for all guests.
Under the new policy, all in-park transactions, from tropical cocktails at the Dancing Dragons Boat Bar to souvenirs at Waturi Marketplace, must be made using digital or card-based payments.
For guests who arrive with cash in hand, Universal isn’t leaving you high and dry. The park will house Cash-to-Card Kiosks, allowing visitors to convert their cash into a Visa Prepaid card. These cards carry no usage fees and can be used anywhere major credit cards are accepted, both inside and outside the park.
Universal Orlando is getting ready for International Flavors of Carnaval Mardi Gras, which starts this Saturday, February 7th, 2026. Check out the new Ton Ton’s Mardi Gras Tribute Store!
Universal Press Release: Universal Volcano Bay will soon become a cashless experience – creating an even more seamless visit for guests. Effective February 25, 2026, all purchases inside the water park can only be made via credit or debit card, Universal Pay, Universal Gift Cards, and other tap-to-pay methods. Guests who bring cash will be required to use Cash-to-Card Kiosks to load their funds onto a Visa Prepaid card, which can be used inside the park, plus anywhere major credit or debit cards are accepted. As a reminder, Universal Volcano Bay will begin a seasonal closure on October 26, 2026, with a current planned reopening on or before March 24, 2027.
