EPIC Universe: Bring the Japan Merch Over! Bob-omb Popcorn Bucket and Yoshi Sipper! Epic Universe and Super Nintendo World in Orlando opened May 22, 2025. While the land previously opened at Universal Hollywood and Universal Japan, the excitement of having the land open here in Orlando has been massive. Fans are always looking for more, though, and there are two things we are missing out on: Bob-omb Popcorn Bucket and the Yoshi & Egg Sipper.
The Bob-omb Popcorn Bucket: This thing is amazing. It looks exactly like the classic Mario enemy, a big, blue, round bomb with a fuse sticking out the top and two yellow feet at the bottom. The strap even has little Mario items on it. Bob-omb Popcorn Bucket even has a feature that makes it seem like it’s about to explode, with lights that mimic the explosion. Priced at ¥5,500 JPY, if sold at EPIC, the price would be about $34 – $43 USD
The Yoshi & Egg Drink Bottle: This sipper cup has the cute little green Yoshi sitting right next to his signature white-and-green polka-dot egg. It’s a perfect collector’s item and would be a huge seller. Priced at ¥2,700 JPY, if sold at EPIC, the price would be about $18 USD
Sometimes, when Universal Studios Japan drops a new item, it takes a while to show up in the American parks. It can sometimes take around six months for a Japanese release to make its way over to the U.S. parks like Epic Universe. That’s a long wait for fans who see the pictures and want the merch now.
Right now, Epic Universe’s Super Nintendo World sells a few cool things, but we need more. The other items currently available at the Orlando park are: The Mario Kart Popcorn Bucket, The 1-Up Mushroom Sippers, and The Mario Star Popcorn Bucket.
But honestly, the Bob-omb and Yoshi sipper are different, and they’re what the fans are looking for. They’re already big hits in Japan, and bringing them to Orlando would just make the Super Nintendo World experience even better.
