Kermit the Frog: “As One Muppet Attraction Door Closes Another Muppet Door Opens in 2026”. Today is the last day guests can enjoy Muppets Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. PizzaRizzo, Muppet*Vision 3D, and the already closed Mama Melrose and Studio One Store are all set to be walled off and permanently closed tomorrow, 6/08/2025.
While visiting the Muppets Courtyard this morning, Walt Disney Imagineering and Kermit the Frog made a huge announcement for fans of the Muppets.
Kermit says, in the social media post by Disney Parks and WDI: “Hi Ho, Everyone! Hey, The Muppets are busy packing things up and getting ready for our big move to Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. I can’t tell you how excited we are to be part of Rock ‘n Roller Coaster, the first ever Muppets Coaster in existence. (That is, if you don’t count Gonzo’s homemade laundry shoot roller coaster in our old theater. Which I do not!).” Kermit goes on to say, “We will see you all there in 2026!”
The post from WDI: Hi Ho, everyone! @themuppets are packing up and moving to Sunset Blvd for their first ever coaster! Grab your guitar (or banjo), because Rock ’N’ Roller Coaster Starring @themuppets speeds into Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2026!
For fans of Rock ‘n Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, Walt Disney World has announced it will remain open the remainder of 2025!

Muppets Courtyard this morning was amazing with so many guests coming in their muppets cosplay or favorite shirts. Some carried plush toys, others just carried memories. Lines were not bad, but in preparation for the crowd levels tonight, Disney was handing out wristbands to guests who showed up early and wanted to be the “Last Guest” (we say last guests, because Cast Members will be the last people to see Muppet*Vision 3D until June 10th), to see the final showing at 10 PM tonight.
We scored a wristband and were told to come back. It may be delayed depending on the size of the queue, and if or when they stop people from living up.

We know so many of you share our love for The Muppets and know their energy will be a perfect fit for this coaster. Plus, as the first Disney ride ever to feature The Muppets, there’s sure to be laughter, screams and new tunes for this attraction for fans to enjoy throughout the adventure and plenty of Muppets-themed merchandise on Sunset Boulevard!
