Disney Annual Passholder Exclusive: Enjoy Restaurant Marrakesh Lounge in Epcot Until July 31. Get ready, Passholders! Your exclusive summer perk is back! The V.I.PASSHOLDER Lounge opened yesterday, May 14th, at Restaurant Marrakesh in EPCOT’s Morocco Pavilion. Escape the heat and enjoy complimentary snacks and water, charge up your devices, capture a special Disney PhotoPass moment, and snag your exclusive Passholder button. This cool oasis is open daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM until July 13th. Don’t miss out!
For day one of the Disney Annual Passholder Lounge, guests queued up in front of the restaurant. Last year, when it got too full, a reservation system went into effect. Guests would have to sign up for a return time later in the day. We noticed that they filled the AP lounge. It seemed like they filled the place with the same number of seats as are available inside. It became uncomfortable with it being too full of people.
Upon entering, Disney Annual Passholders were asked for proof of being an AP holder, this was whatever you used to scan into Epcot. A Magicband, Magicband+, iPhone, or the original Pass all work. Disney CMs would then give each guest a brand new pin/button that is black, white, and gold with a pennant design. “Walt Disney World Annual Passholder” is written on the button.
Once inside, the passholder lounge is decorated in Gold and Red curtains, there are Annual Passholder signs located on the walls, and banners hanging from the poles. There is a section roped off in the middle for a special Disney AP Photopass and Magic Shot. There are two Magic Shots, one with Abu the monkey from Aladdin on your arm, and the second one is that you are holding the Lamp from Disney’s Aladdin, and the Genie will be coming out of it.
In the center, across from the Disney Photopass and Magic Shot, is a table with water, snacks, and Moroccan Mint Tea that is served lukewarm. For opening day, snacks had run out in the early afternoon.
One of the benefits of the Annual Passholder Lounge is the available recharge locker. With plenty of outlets and plug types to charge your phone, while you relax, recharging your body!
