Oops! Romeo McGrowl Wardrobe Malfunction at Magic Kingdom Debut. The “Kiss the Girls” singer and guitar-playing Bear from Disney’s Country Bear Jamboree, Romeo McGrowl, made his meet and greet first appearance today in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Unfortunately, his debut did not go off without a major issue. The poor Country Bear had costuming problems from the moment he made his debut.
Romeo McGrowl’s meet and greet was supposed to be scheduled for 9:15 AM, along with Big Al. The two characters came out around 9:30. This was Romeo McGrowl’s first ever appearance, and while it was awesome to see him in person, things immediately went wrong. Romeo’s head decided it did not want to stay attached! Romoe’s head kept tilting off to one side, and was very noticeable from his first steps. Video and Images Below:
As the newest meet and greet star, Romeo McGrowl, started walking towards the steps, his head would bob to one side and become detached from his body. You could see the struggle of Romeo trying to keep his head on his shoulders. He came down the steps, took photos with three guests, us being one of them, and finally had to turn to his helper and give the signal that things were not right. He was instantly escorted to the back and left.

Romeo McGrowl and Big Al did appear for a later meet and greet time of 10:15 AM, and everything went perfectly! The bear was well received by the guests in Frontierland, as he made his way to the entrance to the new Country Bear Jamboree. He stopped and posed for a few images and spent plenty of time with kids of all ages.
From Disney Parks’ Instagram Account: “A little commotion for Romeo McGrowl, please! 💋🎶🌹 #DisneyWorld #CountryBears #DisneyCharacters“. This is being done with Disney Live Entertainment, which is about to start Cool Kids Summer 2025 at Walt Disney World with more character meet and greets, a new Stitch dance party in Tomorrowland, and a new Pluto gathering in Storybook Circus.
Romeo McGrowl: Speaking of starting a new chapter, one bear is ready to enter his next era of singing rockabilly. Of course, I’m referring to none other than the Miami Serenader himself, Romeo McGrowl.
