“Reclaimed and Reforged” New Lightsabers Building Experience at Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge. Previously announced for Disneyland’s “Seasons of the Force” and starting May the Fourth, 2025, a new lightsaber-building experience is coming to Savi’s Workshop here at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. “Reclaimed and Reforged” promises guests will be able to build their Lightsabers from scraps that have been scavenged by different pirates throughout the galaxy and made their way to Batuu.
Over the centuries, countless lightsabers fell into the hands of smugglers and bounty hunters. Remnants of ancient battles and abandoned scrap have been scavenged from the distant reaches of the galaxy’s outer rim. Now, Guests can build them into elegant tools that symbolize balance in The Force. Build your own Lightsaber price: $249.99 per lightsaber

Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Build your own custom lightsaber at this secret workshop and continue the way of the Force.
Choose Your Path: Travel to Black Spire Outpost, where a group known as the “Gatherers” ushers you into a covert workshop packed with unusual parts, whimsical pieces, and miscellaneous memorabilia collected from the far reaches of the galaxy.
Under their guidance, you can construct your very own lightsaber and bring it to life through the power of kyber crystals. Builders beware—you must protect the shop’s secrecy to avoid being discovered by the First Order! Once your lightsaber is complete (purchase required!), you’ll be ready to embark on incredible new adventures—from the far reaches of Wild Space to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
Assemble Your Lightsaber: Meet one of Savi’s Gatherers outside his workshop, where you’ll choose one of the available hilt themes and receive a cloisonné pin to identify your selection. Themes include:
- Peace and Justice
Salvaged scraps from fallen Jedi temples and crashed starships in these Republic-era designs honor the galaxy’s former guardians. - Power and Control
Originally forged by dark-side warriors, this style features rumored remnants from the Sith homeworld and abandoned temples. - Elemental Nature
This theme embodies the Force—an energy created by all living things, like Brylark trees, Cartusion whale bones, and Rancor teeth. - Protection and Defense
Hilt materials bear mysterious motifs and inscriptions that reconnect users with the ancient wellspring of the Force. - For a Limited Time Only—Reclaimed and Reforged
This new, limited-time offering will be available on Batuu starting May 4th, 2025, while supplies last.
The Gatherers will now help you select the heart of your lightsaber—the kyber crystal, which is available in red, blue, green or violet.
Next, begin assembling your hilt—parts will be provided based on your theme and cloisonné pin. Each box of parts includes:
- 1 hilt
- 4 sleeves (pick 2)
- 2 each – emitters (pick 1), pommel caps (pick 1) , sets of activation plates and switches (pick 1 set)
Upon hilt completion, the unused parts will be collected by the Gatherers and returned to Savi’s inventory. These are not included in your lightsaber package.
Finally, the Gatherers will masterfully connect your hilt to a 31” lightsaber blade so you’re ready for anything the galaxy puts in your path!

I had a glimmer of hope Disney was making good on using excess lightsaber parts that they had, but of course they’re just faking the “used/scavenged” bit and that these are just limited-edition NEW production.
How grossly clickbaity and misleading by posting an image of the Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber with that title.
You should be absolutely ashamed.
That is the Lightsaber I own and am proud to own, and had good images of. We do not know what the new Lightsabers will look like until it starts on May 4th, so we unfortunately cannot put up images of the product yet. Sorry if you feel that posting an image of a Lightsaber, on an article about Lightsabers was clickbait. The article tells the whole story of what is going on, including the headline.
