Now, the queue, benches, and turnstiles are gone, and walls surround the whole entry to the Animation Courtyard Theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is home to the new show.

This is being done to make way for the show The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, which opens May 27th, 2025. The new entryway being built should feature nods to the new show opening on May 27th, 2025, called The Little Mermaid – A New Musical Adventure.

Movable planter walls are now placed across the entryway, blocking guests from viewing the construction behind them. The area was previously used for Chip & Dale meet and greets, along with having benches for guests to sit and relax. Along the walls in this area were posters of The Little Mermaid characters. Plus, it featured some larger-than-life fish characters.

We are checking Hollywood Studios daily, looking for signage to be installed for the new show, along with checking for the same at the other show opening on the same day called Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, which is taking over the old Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at Sunset Showcase building.
