Disney fans, mark your calendars! May 27, 2025, is the day we’ve all been waiting for. The new live entertainment spectacle, “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After,” is set to debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney has recently shared a glimpse inside Sunset Showcase, and it’s nothing short of magical (and a little menacing). The venue has undergone a complete makeover. Gone are the days of Lightning McQueen; in their place, a grand stage awaits.
The stage is framed by a series of video screens, each encased in ornate picture frames. These screens will serve as portals, bringing iconic Disney Villains to life in a dynamic and immersive way. The centerpiece of the stage is an oval screen, clearly designed to be the Magic Mirror. You can see some of the images below.

In this new show, the villains we love to loathe take center stage. To figure out who has been the most misunderstood, the Magic Mirror summons you (yes, you!) to help him decide who’s been the most unfairly treated. The likes of Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent step into the spotlight to make their case about why they’ve been treated the most unfairly over the years. Step into this mysterious realm, where Disney’s most infamous baddies finally get their chance to share their side of the story.
Furthermore, we got over to Hollywood Studios to check out all the construction going on. We did not see very much, but what we did see was the removal of some of the old theming outside Sunset Showcase. The Cars and their areas are being removed.
