Karamell-Küche in Epcot’s Germany Pavilion may be the best smelling and tasting store in all of Walt Disney World, and yesterday, guests got to celebrate National Caramel Day 2025 with Werther’s Original and Walt Disney Imagineering, and us!
Werther’s Original Hard candy was given away for free, and guests could take a photo with the National Caramel Day photo-op.
Walt Disney Imagineering added a new map of Germany to the kitchen so Cast Members can share where they are from with guests. Sweet news for National Caramel Day! Imagineers added a little extra charm to Karamell-Küche featuring @werthersoriginalus Caramel at EPCOT 🍯✨ (Yes, we’re still thinking about that smell, too.). The post goes into more detail:
Caramel lovers may notice a sweet new addition in the Karamell-Küche shop in Epcot! Cast Members working at the Germany Pavilion wanted a way to share where they’re from with guests. Imagineers created the map for cast to bring their own stories to life when interacting with guests. A big printer was used to print the map. Of course, the Werthers confectionary in Werther, Germany is on the map! The design inspiration for the mao came from the classic Baroque style of the bakery building.
The Werther’s Original Caramel Popcorn sold at the Germany Pavilion in Epcot is a highly popular and freshly made treat available at Karamell-Küche. This shop, whose name translates to “Caramel Kitchen,” is presented by Werther’s Original and is known for its enticing aroma of caramel and a variety of handcrafted caramel goods. Furthermore, the Caramel Popcorn is available for $7.99 and is made in-house and always fresh.
