Figment Goes to Hollywood: Disney’s Iger Reveals Shorts Plan. While no definite plans have been announced, what has been made official by Bob Iger, The Walt Disney Company CEO, is he is asking Disney Creative to make some Short-Form videos of our favorite Epcot Imaginary Dragon.

Figment is the unofficial mascot of Epcot here at Disney World and has been making news of late. Within the last 2 years alone, we have gotten a Figment meet and greet, he showed up once again in the smash hit Disney/Pixar film “Inside Out 2“, and a year ago was featured in some viral posts from Disney Parks showing our Disney Dragon Figment visiting Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA. This started speculation of a possible Figment Animated movie or show of some sort.

Bob Iger’s official statement: “I’m going to ask our creative team to make some short-form videos of Figment”

Mr. Iger said “This is my 24th shareholder call, my 18th as CEO, and I think the question about Figment has been asked about 15 times. I call him good old Figment.”

“We know that he’s popular with shareholders because they always ask questions about him. But we also know he’s popular at EPCOT, where you can meet him and experience Journey Into Imagination.”

I’ll tell you why — I’ve been asked this so many times that I am going to ask our creative teams to consider making some form of series or short-form videos of Figment. Because obviously, he’s more popular than just a walk-around character in our parks and resorts.”

Josh Gad Leads the Charge To Update Disney World Ride

Josh Gad recently paid a final visit to Muppet*Vision 3D at Hollywood Studios, saying goodbye to the beloved attraction before its imminent closure. He also went to the World Celebration in Epcot to visit our pal Figment at Journey Into Imagination, where he joined the chorus of others wishing for a ride update. Josh Gad posted to his Instagram account “Hey @waltdisneyimagineering 📞 me. We need to give this guy the ride update he deserves”. This could make Josh Gad the first Disney Legend to call for an update to Figment.
