Walls Divide The Emporium Closing Half the Store in the Magic Kingdom. The largest gift shop in Disney’s Magic Kingdom, and one of the busiest, is now half closed off. Walls separate off the older toy section leading to Casey’s.
While the store is still decorated for the Holidays, we got over to the Magic Kingdom this morning to take images. You can see that once you have passed The Emporium Main Street USA section of the store, and pass The Arcade the store’s back section is closed off.
If you are looking from the Main Street USA point of view, the stores are called Disney Clothiers, Main Street Fashion Apparel, and House of Magic. All of these are considered The Emporium, and all three are half-blocked off by walls.
This refurbishment and moving around of the merchandise should not last very long.
The Emporium: The largest gift and souvenir shop in Magic Kingdom park, the Emporium offers apparel, plush toys, pins, candy and more.
The image below is looking towards Cinderella Castle, and as you can see the exit to the backside of Casey’s Corner is closed off.
This is not the only construction going on at the Magic Kingdom right now. Astro Orbiter has a giant crane and walls laid out in Tomorrowland, BTMRR is down for a year or so, plus Main Street Railroad Station has construction walls up on the central staircase.
Below is looking back towards Town Square.
