Chester & Hester Say… See Y’all Real Soon! is what you can see as you exit Dino-Rama! heading towards DINOSAUR! in DinoLand USA, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The problem is, we may NOT see them real soon, they are headed to way of the dinosaurs, into extinction as the land is set to close Monday, January 13th, 2025.
Demolition paperwork has been completed now we will all be left with our memories of Dino-Rama! Yes, some chiropractics had already bemoaned the closure of Primeval Whirl a few years ago, but now the rest of us can mourn the loss of the land.
Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama!
A vibrant, retro-themed area within Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Dinoland U.S.A. It’s designed to evoke the feeling of a classic American roadside carnival, complete with colorful games, whimsical rides, and a playful dinosaur motif. This quirky land imagines a time when paleontology was a burgeoning field, and dinosaur discoveries were met with a blend of scientific curiosity and carnivalesque excitement.
We will be writing the full story of Chester & Hester in the future, but for now, we just want to share the loss with everyone and went through our images to find some of our favorite memories. Triceratops Spin—Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will close permanently on January 13, 2025, to make way for Tropical Americas, which will open in 2027 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.
Fly high on a dinosaur around a twirling tin-toy top at this delightful carnival-inspired attraction. Climb into a 4-person triceratops gondola and prepare for liftoff! Bob up and down, forward and back, as you sail through the air to festive music. Don’t be surprised if something prehistoric appears from the giant crown in the center of the top. TriceraTop Spin is a blast from the prehistoric past, designed for little ones and the young at heart.

Play wacky carnival-style, dinosaur-themed games and have a mammoth good time! Test your skills and compete to win prizes at these dino-ized versions of classic boardwalk games. Whack mischievous dinosaurs, squirt targets, toss “comets,” roll balls down holes, and shoot hoops so well you could make a T-Rex wish it had longer arms. In keeping with the carnival theme, the Fossil Fun Games area also includes a curved carnival mirror, a painted photo backdrop, a concession stand, and a picture booth.

The World’s Largest Pin Truck – Trek on over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park to view a nostalgic new exhibit featuring the Disney “Pins of Extinction.” While there, catch a glimpse of some hidden treasures and learn a little about the history of Disney pin trading.
