CommuniCore Hall Closed Before Epcot’s Festival of the Arts 2025. Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays is over, the large Christmas Tree has been removed, along with most of the Park’s decorations. It is time to start getting interested in Epcot’s next and first Festival of the new year, Epcot’s Festival of the Arts 2025.

Before the Disney on Broadway exhibit, CommuniCore Hall will be closed daily from January 4th, 2025, until the Festival of the Arts opens on January 17th, 2025.

This year will be the first time CommuniCore Hall & Plaza will be open during a Festival of the Arts. CommuniCore Hall opened last year on June 10th, 2024, to less-than-stellar reviews. Guests had hoped it would not look like a high school cafeteria but have an airport lounge feel. Expectations were high for the first festival the new CommuniCore Hall would be open during, the Food & Wine Festival, but that was also a disappointment.

There is still hope for CommuniCore Hall, especially with the upcoming 2025 Festival of the Arts. CommuniCore Hall will become the home to Once Upon A Stage: 30 Years of Disney on Broadway, which we first experienced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2024. The exhibit will showcase costumes and props from various Disney Broadway shows, including The Lion King, Aladdin, Mary Poppins, Frozen, and more.

On the other hand, CommuniCore Plaza received high praise, especially for the new Disney Live Entertainment show “¡Celebración Encanto!” (Which has just been scheduled to run full-time at Epcot).
