Merry Memories, the new Hallmark Channel Christmas movie starring Lindura and Brendan Morgan, premieres tonight, Friday, November 6, at 8 p.m. ET during week four of Countdown to Christmas 2026, and it streams tomorrow on Hallmark+. It is a sweet story about a little boy who misses his military mom and wants to show her his Christmas, so keep a tissue close.

Week four of Countdown to Christmas started last night with the Mistletoe Murders Season 3 premiere and moves on to Merry Memories tonight. It kicks off this weekend’s three new movies, with Holiday Unplugged on Saturday and A Season of Promises on Sunday.

Merry Memories Review Hallmarks Military Family Christmas Movie Brings a Tear or Two

What Happens in Merry Memories?

Lindura plays Michaela, a by-the-book accountant who steps in to help her brother care for his young son, Danny, while Danny’s mom is deployed with the military over Christmas. Omi Fitzpatrick-Gonzales plays Danny. When Danny’s class assignment is to make a holiday scrapbook for his mom, Michaela reluctantly accepts help from his free-spirited substitute teacher, Bryan, played by Morgan. His creative streak clashes with her need for precision and control.

As the three of them set out to capture holiday moments for the scrapbook, the mishaps start turning into new traditions, and sparks start to fly. Through Danny’s project, Michaela learns to embrace imperfection and open her heart, while Bryan rethinks his future as a traveling substitute teacher.

Bryan goes out of his way to make Danny happy and finish the scrapbook, all while trying to get Aunt Michaela to be more flexible, go with the flow and enjoy the chaos of the holiday. The holidays are chaos in the best possible way. They are loud and messy and kinetic if they are done right.

Grab a tissue for this one. Military stories can bring a tear or two, especially in November, when we celebrate veterans. Hallmark is even airing an encore of Merry Memories on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11. Omi Fitzpatrick-Gonzales stars as Danny and is sure to tug at the heartstrings. The kids in Countdown to Christmas this year are stars in the making, from Danny here to Taylor Blake in Adopting St. Nick.

Lindura finally steps into a starring role after a few movies as a supporting character. We saw her earlier this year in Much About Love, and we would love to see her in more. Brendan Morgan has starred in a few Hallmark movies over the years, starting with Christmas with a Kiss, and right now he is also playing a part of Emily’s past in Mistletoe Murders.

Barbara Kymlicka wrote Merry Memories, and she has written many Hallmark movies over the years, including the teleplay for Winter Wonderlanes earlier this season. Amy Force directed. She also directed To Philly with Love earlier this year.
