The Dune: Part Three popcorn buckets are here, and the sandworms are back, this time with backup. Theaters revealed eight collectibles on October 29, 2026, including a copper Sandworm Mural bucket, a bucket with two sandworms, a sandworm cup with a thumper on the side and a squeezable sandworm plush. They arrive at select theaters on December 17, the night before Dune: Part Three opens on December 18. AMC Theaters, Regal, Cinemark, Harkins, Marcus, and a few smaller theaters have announced Dune 3 popcorn buckets so far. We are waiting for Swan Drive-in because normally they sell them first online.
Yesterday, Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping was announced, making this 2 of the biggest days for bucket collectors.
Remember 2024? The Dune: Part Two sandworm bucket went viral for looking like, well, something you would not want your grandma to find in your kitchen. It even got its own song on Saturday Night Live. Warner Bros. clearly saw all of that and decided the answer was more worms.
Everything coming:
- Sandworm Mural Popcorn Bucket: Also called the Copper Sandworm Popcorn Bucket. A copper bucket carved like an old desert mural, with a sandworm curling around the side and strange writing around the rim. A sandworm bursts out of the sandy lid. This is the classy one, the bucket you can leave out when your in-laws visit.
- Double sandworm bucket: Two sandworms rise out of the sand on the lid, side by side, over a tub with Fremen walking the dunes. Twice the worm. You know exactly what the internet is going to say about this one, so we will let you say it.
- Sandworm thumper cup: A sandworm rises out of the lid, and a thumper sticks out the side. In Dune, the Fremen pound a thumper into the sand to call a worm. AMC’s own reveal video says, “It’s really thumping.” We did not write that. AMC did.
- Spacing Guild Navigator Cup: A tall, smooth, rounded copper cup. In Dune Messiah, the book Part Three is based on, a Guild Navigator named Edric is one of the people plotting against Paul. Navigators float in tanks of spice gas, and this cup looks like one of those tanks. That is our story, and we are sticking to it.
- Sands of Arrakis Cup: A clear cup with an orange lid and desert sand sealed in the walls around a teardrop-shaped window. On Arrakis, water is worth more than anything, so a drop shape fits.
- Sandworm Plush: A soft sandworm with its mouth wide open, showing every ring of teeth, rising out of a little sand dune. It is squeezable. Nobody learned anything from 2024, and honestly, we love that for them.
- Muad’Dib Keychain: A tiny desert mouse with big ears. Paul took his Fremen name, Muad’Dib, from this little mouse. It is the one item here nobody will make a joke about.
- Mini sandworm keychain: A tiny popcorn cup with a sandworm mouth on top.
AMC Theatres: Three AMC exclusives. Gourmet popcorn costs extra, cups come with fountain drinks only, and AMC Stubs upgrades do not apply.

When and where: The collectibles go on sale December 17 at select theaters, while supplies last. Some theaters will start selling them an hour before the first showing. No prices yet. AMC and Harkins are among the first chains to show theirs, and we will break down every theater’s lineup in a separate post.
The movie: Dune: Part Three opens in theaters and IMAX on Friday, December 18, 2026. Denis Villeneuve directs, Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya are back, and it is based on Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah.
Our take: The copper Sandworm Mural bucket is the best-looking bucket of the year so far. But the double sandworm bucket is the one that is going viral. Get your popcorn and your jokes ready. Look, again, I do not know how to write this without being childish…so whatever.
