No U.S. Theater Has Announced an Avengers: Doomsday Popcorn Bucket Yet

October 17, 2026

Written by Greg Gately

No U.S. movie theater chain has announced an Avengers: Doomsday popcorn bucket or collectible drink cup as of October 17, 2026, and the glowing Doctor Doom head bucket that spread online as a “Cinemark” release was posted by Cinemark Brasil for theaters in Brazil. Every Doomsday popcorn bucket and cup making the rounds right now comes from international theater chains in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Guatemala, and Spain. We will add the U.S. lineup to our Movie Theater Popcorn Buckets guide the moment a U.S. chain makes it official.

We are just as excited as you are. A Doom head full of popcorn is exactly the kind of thing we want on our shelf. But readers keep telling us these buckets are confirmed for U.S. theaters and asking where to buy them here, and that is false as of this writing. Not one of these buckets or cups has been announced for the United States.

No US Theater Has Announced an Avengers Doomsday Popcorn Bucket Yet

How a Brazilian Post Became a U.S. Cinemark Exclusive

Going by the post timestamps, here is how October 6 played out. Cinemark Brasil posted its Doom lineup on X at 1:39 p.m. Eastern. MCU Film News shared the images about an hour later without naming a chain. At 3:34 p.m., Culture Crave posted them and credited @Cinemark. At 4:40 p.m., DiscussingFilm posted them with “Source: @Cinemark.” That @Cinemark handle is Cinemark’s U.S. account. The images came from @cinemarkoficial, the Brazilian account. The Brazilian handle has the word oficial right in it. One wrong tag, and by that evening U.S. outlets were running with it. Everyone else took it from there. Cinemark is the biggest theater chain in Brazil, so the Cinemark Doom bucket is real. It is just a few thousand miles south of your local Cinemark.

Where the Doctor Doom Popcorn Buckets and Cups Really Came From – We went back to the original posts from each theater chain, and most of them are still live on Instagram.

Cinemark Brasil, which posts as @cinemarkoficial, revealed the pieces in the viral “Cinemark” images on October 6. That lineup is the hooded Doom head bucket with glowing green eyes, a tall drink cup built like Doom’s stone throne room with the Fantastic Four logo on the side, and a shiny metallic bucket printed with a full-length Doom. The chain tagged its post on X #VingadoresDoutorDestinoNaCinemark, because the movie is called Vingadores: Doutor Destino in Brazil. Brazilian outlet Ei Nerd reports the set also includes a limited pin made with Iron Studios and that it reaches Cinemark concession stands in Brazil in December. The film opens there December 17.

Cinépolis Brasil posted a video of a sculpted Doom bust with his arms crossed under the words “Exclusivo na Cinépolis.” Another Brazilian chain, Cineflix Cinemas, has a hooded helmet bucket and a black metallic bucket with a glowing Avengers “A” on the side.

In Spain, Cine Yelmo is promoting that same arms-crossed bust as a popcorn bucket and a hooded Doom head as a drink cup. Its posts limit buyers to one per customer with a ticket to the movie, while supplies last. The film is titled Vengadores: Doomsday there.

Cineplanet Chile is promoting a cup topped with that same Doom bust, with a glowing Avengers logo on the cup and a discount for members of its free Socio program. Cinemacenter in Argentina teased two versions of the bust-topped cup as coming soon. A Spanish-language graphic with the same fine print as Cineplanet’s post pairs that cup with a throne-shaped popcorn bucket that it says has an LED light inside.

CineStar Guatemala says its lidded collectible Doom popcorn bucket goes on sale at the concession stand during its December 16 preview screenings.

Who Got It Wrong?

We read the English-language coverage of these buckets from nine outlets. Not one of them mentions Brazil.

Fiction Horizon made the clearest mistake. It correctly placed Cine Yelmo’s bucket in Spain, then told readers that “In the US, Cinemark is offering a different set.” It is not. That set is Brazilian.

Geeks + Gamers wrote that the bucket and cup “will be available at Cinemark theaters” and that AMC and Regal will surely have their own, which only makes sense if you mean U.S. theaters. The site even checked Cinemark’s U.S. website and X account, found nothing, and ran the story anyway. Finding nothing was the clue.

That Park Place published on October 12, six full days after Cinemark Brasil posted, and still called the images Cinemark merchandise with no country attached.

ComingSoon.net, in a story first published at SuperHeroHype, said the theater merchandise “has finally been released.” Nothing has been released. The Brazilian pieces are not due at concession stands until December.

Then come the skeptics. EpicStream said the images could be AI-generated, ComicBasics passed along the same theory, and GeekTyrant called them leaked photos. They are not AI, and nothing leaked. They are official posts from a verified Cinemark Brasil account.

Credit where it is due. Brazil’s Ei Nerd identified the lineup as Cinemark Brasil’s the same day it posted, and Cosmic Book News noted that the earlier bust post never named a theater chain at all.

Here is the full list of Avengers: Doomsday collectibles at U.S. theater chains as of this writing. It is one item. The Doctor Doom Mask Light is listed at $29.99 as a pre-order on AMC’s online shop and at $29.99 in Regal’s online store. Cinemark’s U.S. online shop has a Doctor Doom light-up mask up for pre-order too, and that is the only Doomsday item the shop is promoting. No bucket. No cup. No coming soon banner.

Fandango’s Doomsday page is promoting a sweepstakes for a trip to the premiere, not a bucket bundle. If you need more Doom in your life before December, we covered the eight Avengers: Doomsday collector coffee cans from happy last week.

When Will U.S. Theaters Announce Avengers: Doomsday Popcorn Buckets? – Our best guess is about a month from now. For Avengers: Endgame Encore, U.S. chains revealed their buckets in late August, roughly a month before the September re-release, and we covered the Endgame Encore popcorn buckets the day they dropped. Avengers: Doomsday opens in U.S. theaters December 18, so a mid-to-late November reveal would fit that pattern. That is an estimate, not a promise. When the U.S. lineup does land, plan your budget. Cinemark priced its Endgame Encore Infinity Gauntlet bucket at $89.95, which gives you a sense of where a light-up Marvel bucket can end up.

Our Take – If a friend asked us about this, here is what we would say. Most, if not all of these could and should show up in US markets. The Doom head is real. It is just in Brazil. Do not pay anyone extra for a “U.S. Cinemark exclusive” that Cinemark has not announced in the U.S., and do not plan opening night around a bucket nobody has confirmed here. Give it a few weeks. When AMC, Regal, Cinemark, Marcus or any other U.S. chain makes it official, we will tell you which chain, which bucket, what it costs and which country it is actually in.
