Fall Into Love continues on with Pumpkin Regatta Romance, starring Corey Sevier and Mishael Morgan. Pumpkin Regatta Romance premiered on Hallmark Channel last night and is available to stream today on Hallmark+. Row, row, row your gourd doesn’t have the same ring to it as the original, but this movie merrily rolls on! This one is not your usual Hallmark movie.
When their fathers refuse to move past a disagreement, Nadine (Mishael Morgan), daughter of the boat shop owner, and Ethan (Corey Sevier), a pumpkin farmer, team up to heal the feud and revive the town’s Pumpkin Regatta. You read that right. A regatta, but make it pumpkin.
The town’s beloved gourd racing had been stopped due to the feud between Nadine and Ethan’s fathers. When Nadine and Ethan want to bring the regatta back to raise funds for a local teen’s college tuition, they do everything they can to get their dads on board.
This movie takes the fall and the fun to a whole new level. This movie has everything: a baking scene, a little mud, tractors, hay, and don’t forget giant pumpkins. To me, this is one of the more fun Hallmark movies. The leads looked like they were having as much fun as we were seeing on screen.
If it seems a little absurd, I assure you that Pumpkin Regattas are very real. It usually involves between 500 and 1,000-pound giant pumpkins being paddled like kayaks. The first one was held in Windsor, Nova Scotia, in 1999, and since then they have been held in many places around the world. These make the perfect backdrop for Fall fun and romance!
We got to talk with Mishael Morgan and Corey Sevier. We talked about how much fun this movie was, Corey’s love of filming in the tractor, real pumpkin regattas, and why Fall movies are becoming just as popular as Christmas movies.
Pumpkin Regatta Romance is written by Kate Pragnell. Kate has written many Hallmark movies over the years, and Corey Sevier has starred in a few of them. They previously worked on Take Me Back for Christmas, Heart of the Holidays, and The Christmas Charade. Those titles alone speak for themselves. Take Me Back for Christmas is one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies, and Pumpkin Regatta Romance is now at the top for Fall movies. The fun just translates to Pumpkin Regatta Romance and makes it one to rewatch. This is one of my favorite movies of this year.
