Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5 is now part of the soundtrack at Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. An instrumental version of the song joined the ride’s lineup when the Lilypad’s Jams update debuted today, Friday, September 25.
The song was a surprise. Disney’s announcement named five tracks for the new soundtrack, including reimagined versions of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” and “We Belong Together” and new originals like “Spin It Back, Lilypad,” but it never mentioned Swift. We haven’t found another theme park attraction anywhere that uses a Taylor Swift song in its official soundtrack, which would make Lilypad’s Jams a first. Swift is famously protective of how her music gets used, so seeing her work turn up on a ride in Toy Story Land is a big get for Disney. The song was released through Walt Disney Records, which helps explain how it ended up in the backyard.
Swift wrote and produced “I Knew It, I Knew You” with Jack Antonoff after seeing an early cut of Toy Story 5, and she built it around Jessie. The country pop track came out June 5, plays over the film’s end credits, and went on to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Toy Story 5 started streaming on Disney+ on September 23, two days before Lilypad’s Jams opened.

For Swifties, this is a real reason to add Hollywood Studios to the plan. Two things to know before you go. This is an instrumental, so you’ll hear the melody but not Taylor’s voice. Songs on the ride also play at random, so you may need a few spins to catch it. The good news is that the posted wait sat between 5 and 10 minutes on opening morning, so riding it a few times in a row is very doable right now.
