The Blumhouse Popcorn Bucket Van is coming to Regal for the chain’s 31 Screams on Screen horror series, and it lights up and makes fog. The 75 oz van-shaped bucket is listed at $52.99 on the Regal Store as Coming Soon, and it’s expected at participating Regal theaters starting October 1. It comes with a sticker sheet featuring Black Phone 2, M3GAN, Happy Death Day, The Purge: Election Year, and Other Mommy.
It’s the newest horror bucket in our Movie Theater Popcorn Buckets guide, and so far it looks like a Regal exclusive. We haven’t seen it listed at AMC, Cinemark, or any other chain.
Regal’s listing puts the van at 5 x 12 x 6 inches. It’s plastic and hand-wash only, and the fog and light-up effects both run on the included batteries. Regal doesn’t say how the fog works, but I am sure we will find out. The Sticker sheet features Black Phone 2, M3GAN, Happy Death Day, The Purge: Election Year, and Other Mommy.
To buy online, go to the Regal Store and hit Notify Me to get an alert when it goes live. It ships within the United States only, and it’s excluded from all promotional discounts, so the Regal Store’s 15% newsletter offer won’t work on it. Regal hasn’t posted an in-theater price. One outlet listed the theater date as October 11, so check with your local Regal before you make the drive.
Regal’s 31 Screams on Screen merch also includes a Jason Voorhees popcorn bucket and a Santa Jack Skellington collectible. The van follows Regal’s Lipstick-Face Demon bucket for Insidious: Out of the Further, another Blumhouse film, and the Iron Lung popcorn bucket, which also capped orders at three per customer on the Regal Store. The screening series runs every night in October with $7.99 tickets and picks from James Wan, Nia DaCosta, and Curry Barker.
The van isn’t a random choice. Blumhouse’s fan newsletter is called The Van, and its 15th anniversary photo ops at Universal CityWalk Orlando last fall invited fans to “get in the van.” If you want one, sign up for the alert, and if your Regal has it in stock, buy it in person. A final-sale bucket with a fog machine inside is worth seeing before you pay.
