Level99 Disney Springs Replaces Hints With Instructions on All Game Entry Screens

Level99 has swapped Hints for Instructions on every game Entry Screen across all of its locations, including Disney Springs. Tapping the lightbulb icon in the bottom right corner of any Entry Screen now pulls up a new pop-up that lays out the Goal, Rules, and Star info for that game before you start.

Level99 framed the change as a direct response to player feedback. Some Players like to walk in and figure a game out as they go, and others want to know exactly what they are getting into first. The new Instructions pop-up is built for the second group, giving a full breakdown of what you are trying to accomplish, how the game works, and what earns you Stars toward the leaderboard.

Using the lightbulb is still entirely optional, and Level99 says they still prefer Players jump in without it. Nothing about the flow of starting a game has changed. The Instructions button sits in the same spot the Hints button used to, so if you have played before, you already know where to look.

If you have not been yet, our full Level99 Disney Springs review covers what to expect from a first visit, including the Challenge Rooms, Player-vs-Player Duels, and the Hunt Art scavenger hunt woven through the venue’s murals. You can also get to know the 23 artists behind the venue’s artwork before you go looking for Glyphs, and catch up on hours, location, and everything else in our Level99 Disney Springs overview.

Our Take: this is a small change, but it is the kind of thing that makes a repeat-visit venue like Level99 easier to recommend to a wider group. Not everyone wants to fumble through a Challenge Room figuring out the rules on the fly, and now that option exists without changing anything for Players who would rather dive in blind.
