Disney’s BoardWalk Announces New Hurly-Burly Lounge and Basin Shopping Experience

Disney’s BoardWalk is adding two new experiences set to open starting in late 2026 — Hurly-Burly, a historic seaside theatre that shifts from family trivia by day to a 21-and-over live music lounge by night, and Basin on the BoardWalk, an interactive bath and body retail shop.

Hurly-Burly will occupy a historic seaside theatre space with a BoardWalk story Disney says spans more than a century. During the day, the venue hosts family-friendly activities including trivia led by a host. At night, it transitions into a live music venue for guests 21 and over, serving classic coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites alongside a rotating lineup of musical entertainment.

Basin on the BoardWalk brings a curated, sensory-focused shopping experience rooted in the resort’s classic boardwalk heritage. The shop will carry handcrafted natural soaps, botanical bath salts, bath bombs, body butters, lip salves, and shampoo and conditioner bars. What sets it apart is the interactive component built into the shop itself, including a custom bath tea blending counter, a make-your-own-soap station, and a soap embossing press for a personalized finishing touch.

Disney confirmed a new quick-service restaurant is also coming to the BoardWalk, with additional details expected later this summer.

These additions continue the ongoing evolution of Disney’s BoardWalk, which has long built its identity on the mix of dining, shopping, and nightlife inspired by turn-of-the-century coastal boardwalks like Atlantic City and Coney Island. The promenade sits along Crescent Lake, within walking distance of EPCOT and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.

Our Take: The interactive elements at Basin are what make this announcement stand out. A make-your-own-soap station and an embossing press turn a retail stop into an actual activity, which is exactly the kind of thing that gives BoardWalk a reason to be a destination rather than a pass-through on the way to EPCOT. Hurly-Burly’s day-to-night format is smart too, giving the space purpose for families earlier in the day and turning into something entirely different once the sun goes down.
