Disney+ has revealed its full July 2026 lineup, headlined by the premiere of Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, the return of X-Men ’97 for its second season, the 2026 ESPYS, and the premiere of Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro.
July opens strong on July 1 with the three-episode premiere of X-Men ’97 Season 2, the new Disney+ Original King & Prince: Our Meet-Up in LA, and Magicampers Season 1. The Simpsons gets a Disney+ exclusive episode titled “Simpsley” on July 3, the same day Disney Celebrates America begins its 24-hour ABC News Live programming run through July 4.
Project Runway returns for its 22nd season on July 10, marking what Disney+ is calling the show’s biggest season ever with 22 designers, the most in the show’s history, competing under host Heidi Klum. Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro premieres July 13, hosted by wildlife conservationist and Season 34 Mirrorball winner Robert Irwin, featuring 12 up-and-coming dancers competing for a spot on Season 35 of the flagship series. Three-time Mirrorball champion Mark Ballas and his mother Shirley Ballas serve as judges.
Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends returns for Season 5 on July 14, and the 2026 ESPYS Presented by Capital One air July 16, continuing the award show’s three-decade tradition of raising money for the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland premieres July 17, the same day Project Runway and America’s Funniest Home Videos seasons 19 through 21 join the platform. Theme Song Takeover returns for Season 6 on July 18.
National Geographic’s Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston premieres July 23, and Soy Luna: Let’s Roll Again drops all episodes on July 24. The month closes with the Lollapalooza livestream beginning July 30, running through July 31 alongside the final new Project Runway episode of the month.
Disney+ is also launching new curated content streams for Premium subscribers, including an always-on Pixar marathon, a Throwbacks stream of nostalgic favorites, and a new Disney Princess stream launching July 23.
Our Take: The Descendants revival and a stacked Project Runway season are the two storylines worth watching closest this month, but the sheer density of live sports and event programming, from the ESPYS to Banana Ball to Wimbledon coverage, shows how much Disney+ has leaned into being a live destination rather than just a library. July gives subscribers a genuinely full slate either way.
