Universal Orlando Resort has announced “Universal Celestial Goodnight,” a brand-new nightly spectacular coming to Universal Epic Universe beginning Tuesday, July 7, 2026. The show transforms all of Celestial Park into a synchronized display of dancing fountains, sweeping lighting effects, and a fireworks finale — giving guests a genuinely epic send-off after a full day at the park.

The show was developed by Universal’s in-house entertainment team and is built around the characters and worlds found inside Epic Universe’s five portal lands. It pulls imagery and musical themes from SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, and Dark Universe’s Universal Monsters.

The technical scale here is genuinely impressive. Celestial Park will activate nearly 600 synchronized light fixtures, more than 350 fountains, and seven million LED lights embedded throughout the park’s infrastructure — running from the Luna side of the park all the way through to Apollo. The whole thing is choreographed to a high-energy original musical score and closes with a fireworks display designed to serve as the exclamation point on a full day at the park.

Universal Celestial Goodnight runs nightly at Universal Epic Universe beginning July 7, 2026. The show takes place across Celestial Park, the central hub connecting all five portal lands, so there is no single designated viewing area — the entire park is the stage. Universal has not yet confirmed a set showtime, so check the Universal Orlando app or universalorlando.com closer to your visit date for the nightly schedule.

Epic Universe opened in May 2026 without a signature nighttime show, which was one of the few gaps compared to what Walt Disney World and Disneyland offer after dark. This fills that gap in a big way. A nighttime spectacular purpose-built for a theme park that opened to enormous hype — and that sits right down the road from Walt Disney World — is going to raise the stakes for everyone in the Orlando theme park market. If you are planning a summer visit to Epic Universe, staying through the evening just became a much easier call.
