Avatar: Fire and Ash is coming to Disney+ on June 24, 2026, giving subscribers their first chance to stream James Cameron’s Oscar-winning blockbuster at home.
The announcement confirms an exclusive Disney+ window for the third Avatar film, which grossed $1.48 billion worldwide at the box office after opening in December 2025. The film won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and held the top spot at the domestic box office for five consecutive weeks.

The film picks up with Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) living among the Metkayina Clan in the reefs of Pandora. Still processing the death of a family member at the hands of the RDA, the Sullys set out to protect another loved one — but their journey is interrupted by the Mangkwan Clan, known as the Ash People, who hold Eywa responsible for the volcanic destruction of their home. The Wind Traders, the Tlalim Clan, help guide them along the way.
The cast includes Worthington, Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Kate Winslet, David Thewlis, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, and Britain Dalton, among others. Cameron directed and co-wrote the screenplay alongside Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.
When Fire and Ash hit theaters, FLN covered the full collectible rollout, including the theatrical popcorn buckets and the film’s box office run. The film became one of three Disney titles to cross $1 billion worldwide in 2025.
Avatar: Fire and Ash joins the full Avatar Collection on Disney+, where the original film and Avatar: The Way of Water are already streaming alongside the documentary Fire and Water: Making the Avatar Films.
