Atari and developer Digital Eclipse announced Toy Story: Retro Roundup! and Toy Story 3 Complete Edition today, June 2, 2026, with both games arriving as a $49.99 physical double pack on October 15 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch.

The timing could not be better. With Toy Story 5 hitting theaters on June 19, the appetite for everything Woody, Buzz, and the gang is at an all-time high. Atari is leaning into that with a collection that spans more than a decade of classic Disney and Pixar games, packaged together for modern consoles and built with behind-the-scenes content that fans of the franchise will want to sit with. Fantasy Land News has been tracking the full wave of Toy Story 5 merchandise at the Disney Store ahead of the film’s release, and this one is a standout for anyone who grew up playing these games.
Toy Story: Retro Roundup! is the centerpiece of the collection. It gathers five Disney and Pixar games across 11 total versions, accounting for both console and handheld releases. The lineup includes Toy Story from 1995 on Sega Genesis, SNES, and Game Boy; Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! on PlayStation 1; Toy Story 2 on Game Boy Color; Buzz Lightyear of Star Command on PlayStation 1 and Game Boy Color; Toy Story Racer on PlayStation 1 and Game Boy Color; and A Bug’s Life on PlayStation 1 and Game Boy Color. All games have been updated with quality-of-life improvements and new features, and the collection includes a virtual museum stocked with rare design documents and vintage development photos.

The behind-the-scenes video package adds real weight to the release. Atari recorded new content with Jason Katz, Head of Story at Pixar; Jim Hanks, the voice actor behind Woody in the games; Luigi Priore, VP and GM of Disney and Pixar Games; and Jon Burton, founder of TT Games. For anyone who grew up renting Toy Story 2 on PlayStation 1, getting that kind of direct access to the people who made these games is a genuine treat.
Toy Story 3 Complete Edition rounds out the double pack. The 2010 game, which became something of a legend among movie tie-in releases for its Toy Box mode, is now coming to modern platforms with up to 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on supported hardware. It includes previously PlayStation 3-exclusive content and both Story Mode, which runs through the film’s locations with Woody, Buzz, and Jessie, and Toy Box Mode, the open-world Wild West sandbox where players can build out their own town and even play as Evil Emperor Zurg. Local cooperative play is also supported.
The double pack retails for $49.99 and is available for pre-order now through Atari’s website and select retailers. Digital versions of both games are sold separately. The physical bundle is available on PlayStation 5, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and Switch. If you are already planning your Toy Story 5 theater run and want to grab the full collectibles experience, our Toy Story 5 popcorn buckets guide has everything confirmed for the film’s theatrical release.
Our Take: Toy Story 3 was genuinely one of the best movie tie-in games ever made, and Toy Story Racer on PlayStation 1 is deeply underrated. Bundling 11 versions of classic games with behind-the-scenes access from Pixar and the original voice cast is exactly the kind of release that deserves to be on the shelf next to the Toy Story 5 collectibles. October 15 is well after the theatrical run, but for fans who want to keep the celebration going, this is the move.
Toy Story: Retro Roundup! and Toy Story 3 Complete Edition release October 15, 2026. Pre-orders are open now at atari.com.
