Hope Valley 1874 has been renewed for a second season on Hallmark+, People reports exclusively. The announcement comes ahead of the Season 1 finale, which airs May 7 on Hallmark+. Season 2 will air in 2027.
Bethany Joy Lenz returns as Rebecca Clarke, the determined widow and mother building a new life on the Western Canadian frontier in the 1870s — in the settlement that will one day become Hope Valley. The renewal also signals a continued commitment to the broader When Calls the Heart universe, which is itself returning for Season 14 next year.
Hallmark+ says the series had its most successful launch to date. “Hope Valley 1874’s dream cast led by Bethany Joy Lenz, Benjamin Ayres and Jill Hennessy has brought to life the rich characters and beautiful story crafted by showrunner Alfonso Moreno,” Hallmark Media head of programming Michelle Vicary said in a statement to People.
Fantasy Land News has been with this series from the beginning. Holly sat down with several members of the cast during the Hallmark+ press junket earlier this season. You can read our interviews with Benjamin Ayres, Brad Abramenko, Chelsea Hobbs, Jedidiah Goodacre, Grayson Gurnsey, and Matreya Scarrwener on the FLN Hallmark hub.
The Season 1 finale airs tomorrow, May 7, exclusively on Hallmark+. If you are not already subscribed, now is the time. Find all of our Hope Valley 1874 coverage at fantasylandnews.com/hallmark-channel/. Join the Realm at fantasylandnews.com/the-realm.
