To recap Episode 2 titled “Blinded By the Light”, we went to several time periods. Kat arrived in 1925 and met young Fern Landry. Alice went to 1976 and reunited with Colton and Evelyn. Del remembered times in the 1990s with Colton about young Elliot.

In the 1920s, Kat and Fern walked from the Landry farm, where Fern didn’t live, to town. They hitch a ride with the Auggie boys, who are Augustines. In town, they are at the Port Haven Herald office. Fern lets Kat know that is where she works as the society columnist, and she lives there. She lets Kat know that the editor is Grayson Goodwin. They start getting ready to head to Lingermore for a party, when Cliff Kane. He’s looking for a place to live. Kat says you can rent the Landy farm, as it’s sitting empty.
Kat and Fern go to Lingermore dressed to the nines and attend the party. We meet Grayson, and he’s magnanimous. He ends up proposing to Fern. Kat sees him give money to the Auggie boys. The party gets raided by the temperance police since it’s during prohibition. Fern and Kat are walking back to the farm so Kat can get to the pond. They are met by Cliff. He is headed to the farm, which he rented. He lets them know that he is the Temperance official. Kat goes back to the present

Meanwhile, Alice is in 1976. Older Fern tells her that Colton is out with the in-laws and not home. Fern is a little scattered. Alice heads to town and is picked up by Evelyn on the way. Evie drops her off at Coyles and says she’ll be back. Alice talks with Jasper and goes over some music sheets. Colton comes, and they all head to Lingermore. There we meet Ash, Evelyn’s husband. He has a lot of people around, and there seems to be tension between the newlyweds.
The group explores the tunnels under Lingermore, which are rumored to be haunted because of an explosion in the 20s with rum runners. Evie reveals to Alice that she’s pregnant and terrified because she knows her marriage is in trouble. We do see Colton and Alice have a moment on the way back from Lingermore. Alice sings her song for Colton, and he tells her that it’s not her. It’s not what’s in her heart.

In the present, Del is heartbroken for the grieving Elliot. He’s dealing with not only the fact that his mom left him at the pond, but the pond also wouldn’t let him travel. Del deals with the memories of a pact she made with Colton about Elliot. She says they should have just kept him when he was placed on their porch. She eventually reveals that she thinks Tessa may be with Colton’s brother, Griffin.
We will see what happens next with Fern, Tessa, Griffin, and the rest of the gang as the pond takes us where we have to go. There is a lot of story left and not a lot of episodes.
