Tickets for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu go on sale tomorrow, April 17, 2026, ahead of the film’s exclusive theatrical and IMAX release on May 22, 2026. Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm made the announcement today at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas alongside the debut of the film’s final trailer, which is now live online. If you have been waiting for the moment to lock in your seat for the first Star Wars film in theaters since 2019, that moment is tomorrow. Watch the final trailer below.

Tickets on Sale April 17 for The Mandalorian and Grogu

Starting April 17, tickets for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu will be available at participating theaters nationwide. The film opens May 22, 2026, exclusively in theaters and IMAX. This is the first Star Wars theatrical release since The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, nearly seven years ago, and the first film to bring Din Djarin and Grogu to the big screen after three seasons on Disney+. IMAX tickets in particular are expected to move fast given the film was shot specifically for the format. We have been tracking the collectibles side of this release since February, including our first look at the Mandalorian and Grogu toys and collectibles.

What the Final Trailer Shows

Today’s final trailer is the last major marketing piece before opening night, arriving after the full trailer that debuted in February, the Super Bowl spot, and the original teaser at Destination D23 in 2025. Director Jon Favreau headlined the CinemaCon Creative Community Luncheon earlier today before the Walt Disney Studios presentation, where the final trailer was unveiled, making April 16 the biggest single day of promotion the film has seen.

The Mandalorian and Grogu picks up after the events of The Mandalorian Season 3 with Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, and his Force-sensitive apprentice Grogu enlisted by the fledgling New Republic to handle the Imperial warlords still operating across the galaxy after the fall of the Empire. Sigourney Weaver stars as Colonel Ward, a former Rebel pilot who now leads the New Republic’s Adelphi Rangers. Jeremy Allen White voices Rotta the Hutt, Jabba’s son. Martin Scorsese voices an Ardennian fry cook. Jonny Coyne reprises his Imperial warlord from Season 3. Zeb Orrelios returns voiced by Steve Blum. The screenplay is by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Noah Kloor. Music is composed by Ludwig Göransson. Producers are Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce.

Tickets on sale tomorrow is the news. Everything else today was buildup to this. The Mandalorian and Grogu arrives with more goodwill than any Star Wars project has had in years. Grogu is one of the most universally loved characters Disney has introduced in the past decade, Pedro Pascal is everywhere right now, and the Western-influenced heart of the series has never lost its audience.

The IMAX question is the real one to watch. This film was designed for the format and the premium large format seats are where the opening weekend story will be written. If you are planning to see it in IMAX on opening weekend, tomorrow is the day to act. May 22 is a little over a month away.

For our fans who are waiting for the Mandalorian & Grogu popcorn buckets, trust me, tomorrow is going to be a great day for collectors!
